We are seeking to hire a (9am-5pm) full-time highly motivated, articulate customer service representative for our ecommerce inbound call center. This position is seasonal and will last until January 2009, however, there are opportunities where this can lead to a permanent position. The ideal candidate will be team player, have an excellent telephone demeanor, possess strong verbal and writing skills, have good computer skills, highly organized and be able to demonstrate a positive, energetic attitude. The work environment is fast paced and challenging.
Requirements:
* Prior customer service or call center experience
* Excellent verbal and writing skills.
* Catalog or e-commerce experience a plus
* Knowledge of Microsoft Word and ability to grasp new computer applications
* Typing speed 45+ wpm (REQUIRED)
* Articulate/Clear speaking voice
* Excellent References required
Duties:
* Answer incoming customer telephone calls in a call center environment.
* Enter sales orders and answer questions regarding products.
* Respond to customer inquiries via email.
* Contact vendors to research problems or questions.
* Strong follow up with customers until issue is resolved
* Keep track of customer complaints and calls
* Work as a team player in a busy call center environment
* Ability to be empathetic to customers` needs and issues
* Must be multi-tasking and willing to learn
Location: Long Island City / Queens
Compensation: $10-$11/hour
